PERSONAL LIABILITY


I agree that Ontario Security & Protection Services and/or its instructors will in no way assume responsibility for loss, injury, or death while participating in any Ontario Security & Protection Services Training program. Ontario Security & Protection Services does not guarantee or warranty a job however, we do provide assistance with placements.

Ontario Security & Protection Services will not be liable, whether said training or action occurs on the company premises, supplemental training sites, or while employed by your employer.


Due to the diverse and dangerous circumstances encountered during physical conflict or criminal act, some techniques provided should only be used when level of threat is consistent with the defence and such action taken falls within local legislation. 


I hereby agree to use these defensive techniques only when the use of force is justified and necessary for my personal safety or anyone under my control or protection. 

Online course access will remain active for a period of 30 days from the date of purchase. If you do not complete your online course within the 30 day time period, course access will be suspended. 

If you wish to reactivate your account, a $40 reinstatement fee will apply. All sales are considered final sale.

Equipment Purchase:  All equipment purchased is refundable or exchangeable  within 15 days of purchase. Item must be returned to Ontario Security & Protection Services for refund to be issued. Accept returns for defective products only.

  • Certificate Regulations

Does the Use of Force program provide both handcuffing and baton training?

Yes. Most training programs only offer basic and passive handcuffing techniques, however, the Ontario Security & Protection Services training program covers complaint handcuffing, passive handcuffing, active resistant handcuffing, takedowns, ground defense tactics as well as expandable baton. 
We believe our students should be well trained in all aspects of the use of force model.
The Ontario Security & Protection Services use of force training program is recognized in Canada, USA and internationally. Ontario Security & Protection Services has many globally recognized instructors that provide the Ontario Security & Protection Services training curriculum.

  • Exceptions & Restrictions

    California, USA Regulations:
    The Ontario Security & Protection Services Use of Force Handcuffing & Baton training program is a professional development and certification program designed for personal development. Ontario Security & Protection Services is not affiliated with the BSIS or any other government regulated licensing body.
    To include the Handcuffing and Baton designation to your security guard license in the state of California, you are required to complete your training through a BSIS regulated agency.
    We recommend you research the BSIS California regulations before completing your purchase to determine which training is best for you and what is deemed as "Recognized" by your state's regulatory body.

    British Columbia, Canada Regulations:
    To receive authorization by your employer to carry handcuffs or a baton as a security guard in the province on British Columbia, the Use of Force training must be completed by The Justice Institute of B.C.
    Ontario Security & Protection Services is not affiliated with the Justice Institute of BC. If you wish to carry handcuffs and baton in BC, please complete your Use of Forced training through the Justice Institute.
